There's No Place Like Home

Well I have now been home for 2 days. It's been pretty great. When I first arrived at the airport my parents took me out to New Mexican food and it was fantastic. Oh how I missed you stuffed sopapillas! Yesterday was full of unpacking and laundry. Today I got my new license for grown-ups cause I guess I'm one of those now. It's sideways and everything haha. Then I got to have lunch with a friend I haven't seen in more than 2 years and we had a good time catching up.

Today was also the day I turned in my application for the photography program.
I will hear back in about 4 weeks, so keep me in your prayers. I need all the help I can get.

Tomorrow is another crazy day because I have to pack for a family vacation! We are heading to Provo so I can find a place to live. Luckily I have a cousin who might be my roommate so I have a few ideas already. Then we'll go to Moab and see Arches or Goblin Canyon. Finally on Sunday we are going to Cortez for my newest cousin's baby blessing. I haven't met him yet so I'm pretty excited.  From all the pictures I see he looks pretty cute.

So as you can tell I just keep running around. No breaks for me! Not yet anyway. Once we get back to Los Alamos I will be here for good so I'll have a break then. If you happen to be in town perhaps we can make a little mischief together :D and liven things up a bit hahaha

We also did not go in. It was about 20 bucks to go inside and I've seen a million cathedral in Italy that are probably more impressive. I mean really. St. Peter's Basilica, the capital of Catholicism, was free and pretty magnificent...

Last Day in London

Today is my last day in London and I am using it to see the Harry Potter Studio Tour. I am getting really excited to go. It was one of the main reasons I wanted to come to London, no lie haha. But really though- London has been fantastic and this will end it on a great note.

Tomorrow will come bright and early. The taxi is coming to pick us up at 4:30 so I can check my bags by 5:30. Then take off at 8:45. I will finally make it to Albuquerque at 7:30 that night. Which is 2:30am the next day for London. So almost 24 hours of travel. The marathon is approaching.....

Icy Rain

Well being in London is all well and good, but after spending today in freezing cold rain with wet feet all day I am getting very excited to go home.
Today we went to the Victoria and Albert Museum, Kensington Gardens, and Portobello Road.  These last few days our favorite place to eat is Pret A Manger. It is a sandwich, soup, and salad place that is about as cheap as you can get for good healthy food. Apparently it is owned by Burger King. So why don't we have them in the USA? I don't understand life sometimes.
On my birthday we went to the Tower of London, the Globe, and King's Cross Station so I could try to make it to Platform 9 3/4. I was unsuccessful at finding the Hogwarts Express, but I did take a picture with the platform sign.

In our time here so far we have done a lot of things. We have a few more planned and then we will head home. I'm pretty excited.
When I get home I will post the rest of the pictures.

"Postcards From Far Away"

Well, my time in Siena ended today. My host mom walked us all the way to the bus station and helped carry Sharissa's bag. Then we drove 3 hours to Ravenna.
Saw the sites, hit the town, doing our thing as usual.
I'm really going to miss Siena. It will always be my italian home. Last night was bittersweet sitting in the Campo hanging out with all the girls. On to Venice tomorrow and even more adventures end and begin.

3 days left

So there are only three days left in Siena. It's so crazy! I've been studying pretty hard and taking exams.
On Sunday night I literally read all of Heart of Darkness to prepare for my exam. Ms. Nadaskay would be so proud. I then took the exam last night. It was a three hour exam where I wrote a six page paper in addition to the multiple choice and matching.
I have a presentation today, journals due tonight, another exam and more journals tomorrow, and Italian exam on Thursday. It is never ending....... Then we're off to Ravenna and Venice. Somewhere in there I need to do some laundry and hopefully enjoy the last bit of Tuscany before we go.

Lambo Lambo Lambo

So my secret trip this weekend is now to be revealed.
A small group of my friends and our professor went to the LAMBORGHINI FACTORY!
It was so cool. Super cool. Most awesome thing ever.
I finally know what car I want when I grow up :D
We rented a mini van from Hertz and then drove out to Bologna and Sant'Agata.
And now a story in pictures:

So you might have noticed there were no pictures inside the actual factory. They were not allowed inside the factory, just the main showroom.
Basically the sexist cars I have ever seen were there. Look up the Gallardo and the Aventador and you will know what I mean.
I want an Aventador in dark blue with grey leather interior.  Thank you Santa. Haha
The Aventador is a v12 with 700horse power and 0-60 in 2.9 seconds. The Gallardo is slightly less impressive with v10 500horse power and 0 - 60 in 4.something seconds.
Oh man......... *drools*.... oh sorry. I got distracted day dreaming about those cars.....

So every evening till we leave, Sharissa and I have decided we will be taking some passagiate after school everynight.
So far we take a stroll and end up in the Campo with a Grom hot chocolate.

That, my friends, is a cup of hot chocolate (like melted chocolate bar) with a scoop of ice cream in the middle. It is the best things ever invented.
